The Allen-Bradley 22A-B017N104 is a PowerFlex 4 adjustable frequency AC drive that provides a full-featured four digits alphanumeric human interface liquid crystal (LCD) display module to show either parameter number and value or fault code with an integral digital keypad to program and control employing the local potentiometer both torque and speed of three-phase induction motors in industrial applications.

The 22A-B017N104 provides various protective features including overload, overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, control ride through, and faultless power ride through protections. At start up, this drive can overcome startup torque, mainly using its capability of providing 150% overload for up to 1 minute or 200% overload capability for up to 3 seconds. The motor is protected using the drive electronic overload.
The 22A-B017N104 can be mounted with an input circuit breaker or fuses. This variable frequency controller produces torque efficiently over a large speed range and offers sensorless vector control. The device supports shielded and unshielded cables for wiring and installation. The control parameters have to be adjusted locally or remotely after installation. It can be set manually or by using compatible handheld programmable devices.
The VFD provides removable MOV to ground ungrounded distribution systems to increase motor life. This drive includes relay pre-charge to limit inrush current.

The 22A-B017N104 is capable of being integrated with control systems such as CompactLogix or ControlLogix controllers via the integrated RS485 communication port.
