Allen-Bradley 1734-TOP3S is a one-piece terminal base without an option of a removable terminal block for wire connection. The terminal base is installed directly on the DIN rail with vertical or horizontal orientation, providing backplane communication connections and enabling field power bus distribution.
One of the advanced options for this terminal base is a mechanical key setting in charge of Incorrect I/O module installation prevention.
There is no need for tools when assembling the POINT I/O module. The connection between an I/O module and the terminal base is made in one click.

Some of the parts contained in the 1734-TOP3S are a wiring block, interlocking side pieces, handle, base, Mechanical Keying, and Locking Screw for DIN-rail (Orange).
Its a maximum supply voltage of 300 Volts, an 8A maximum terminal current, and a field power bus supply voltage of 28.8 Volts DC and 120 to 240 Volts AC.

Install the 1734-TOP3S like so:
Position the base above existing units (modules) and then slide the base down. Interlock to side pieces of the adjacent unit. Press firmly to the DIN rail so that the terminal base falls into place. Do not insert any I/O module into the base terminal until it is confirmed that the locking screw is in a horizontal position. Mechanical keying must be positioned so that the selected number matches the I/O module selected for installation.

The POINT I/O is electrically connected to the ground over the DIN rail to the frame. Proper grounding can be achieved over a zinc plated steel DIN rail. Connecting pins are labeled with numbers 0 to 11; look for the wiring schemes for the I/O module to be used in conjunction with the terminal base. Never wire more than 2 conductors to a terminal pin.
