Description
The Allen-Bradley 1769-OV16 is a 16-output DC sinking output module part of the 1769 Compact I/O family. It has an operating voltage range of 20.4 to 26.4 volts DC and an on-state current of 1 milliamp, with an output delay of 1 millisecond. The module can be used with controllers such as the CompactLogix or the MicroLogix 1500, and can be combined with a 1769-ADN DeviceNet adapter or a 1769-AENTR Ethernet adapter. The 1769-OV16 module is designed for industrial use and has two mounting options for panel mounting or DIN rail mounting.
The 1769-OV16 supports sink wiring configuration and comes with a single group of 16 output channels, with a rated output current of 0.5 A @ 60 °C (140 °F) and 1.0 A @ 30 °C (86 °F) per channel. It is a single slot module that can be installed up to eight modules away from the power supply, and is compatible with 1769 Compact I/O power supplies such as PA2, PB2, PA4, and PB4. The module has a removable terminal block that is located behind the door in front of the module, which has a finger-safe cover for connections to the I/O sensors and actuators.
The 1769-OV16 module measures 4.65 x 1.38 x 3.43 inches and has a surge current of 2 amps for 10 milliseconds, which is repeatable every 2 seconds. Its maximum current per point is 0.5 amps at 60 degrees Celsius and 1 amp at 30 degrees Celsius, with a maximum current per module of 4 amps at 60 degrees Celsius and 8 amps at 30 degrees Celsius. The module has an operating vibration of 5 g at 10 to 500 Hertz and a 30g operating shock. Its non-condensing relative humidity is 5 to 95%, and it has a maximum heat dissipation of 2.06 W. The module has a 0.1-millisecond output delay for the ON state and a 1-millisecond output delay for the OFF state.
It weighs approximately 280 grams (0.61 pounds) and can operate at a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit).
