The Allen-Bradley 1762-OF4 is an analog output module that weighs only 235 grams. It has 4 single-ended outputs with output times of 2.5 milliseconds. This module is designed to provide Analog output signals primarily used to drive modulating control elements such as valves, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), Dampers, Louvers and other modulating devices. It may also be used to re-transmit to indicators, data loggers, isolators and converters.

This module is used with MicroLogix 1100 / 1200 and 1400 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). It has Four (4) single-ended output channels configurable for 0-20mA, 4-20 mA, ±10V dc, 0 to 10V dc, 0 to 5V dc, 1 to 5Vdc. The module’s analog ranges are 0-10.5VDC and Current of 0-21 mA. This module has an internal Digital to Analog Circuit (DAC) that uses R-2R Ladder Voltage Switching for converting binary data from the CPU to analog signal. The module’s resolution is 12 bits, unipolar with repeatability of ±0.12%.

When used with a MixroLogix 1100 controller, up to Four (4) instances of this module may be installed. If used with MicroLogix 1200, up to Six (6) modules is supported while Seven (7) modules are permitted when used with MicroLogix 1500.

This expansion module supports data format such as Raw/Proportional Format, Scaled-for-PID Format. It may be assigned as the output of a Proportional +Integral +Derivative (PID) controller to implement automatic control of devices. It may also be linked to manual entry values such as manual loading stations, whether via a conventional panel of a Human Machine Interface (HMI) or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
