This industrial CompactFlash card with nonvolatile memory is used with ControlLogix5561, ControlLogix5562, ControlLogix5563, ControlLogix5564, and ControlLogix5565 controllers. These are compliant with EN 61326-1; Meas./Control/Lab., Industrial Requirements, EN 61000-6-2; Industrial Immunity, EN 61000-6-4; Industrial Emissions, and EN 61131-2; Programmable Controllers (Clause 8, Zone A & B) when marked with CE certification and AS/NZS CISPR 11; Industrial Emissions when marked with C-Tick certification.

The 1784-CF128 is an Allen-Bradley manufactured CompactFlash Card. This memory module features an integrated non-volatile memory amounting to 128 MB.

The 1784-CF128 is compatible with 1756-L6X or 5560 ControlLogix controllers. It serves as an additional user program and program data memory which supports basic functions such as create, write, read and delete controller files.

The memory module may be used to backup data from the controller’s volatile memory. ControlLogix 5560 Controllers may be configured to automatically load program from the 1784-CF128 which contributes to increasing the machine availability as unwanted controller shutdown due to program deletion may be prevented.

The 1784-CF128 also supports other functionalities, related to the basic functions supported by the memory module. These functionalities include opening a file, closing a file, Setting of file printer, Checksum calculations, Checksum verifications, Data parsing and Error handling. This memory module supports up to 4500 bytes of application code which may be optionally expanded.

The 1784-CF128 has a limited lifespan. To maximize operation of this memory device, configure the controller to write or save data to the module when necessary or through a triggered event. Writing of data every program scan significantly lessens the module’s lifespan. The 1784-CF128 supports FAT16 format wherein, up to 250 files may be saved on the root directory.
