The Allen-Bradley 1783-US8T Stratix 2000 Ethernet unmanaged switch has 8 RJ45 10-100 copper ports and an Ethernet data rate of 10-100 Mbps. This switch works with packet-based thresholds and it has broadcast storm thresholds of 20 packets per second (pps) for 10 Mbps per port and 200 pps for 100 Mbps per port. Yellow and green status indicators are also available, and these indicators have a 105-ms blink rate. The indicators allow you to see the current status of the switch’s network connection or of the network activity, port speed, and power supply. It uses a din rail for mounting, has an open-type enclosure, and measures 5.31 x 4.19 x 2.11 inches.

For DC power connections, the 1783-US8T switch requires a 0.75 to 2.5 mm2 (18-14 AWG) twisted-pair copper wire. For functional earth connections, the wire should be 2.5 mm2 (14 AWG) copper wire with a suitable ring terminal. Wires should be rated for a temperature 30 ËšC above the surrounding ambient temperature outside the switch’s enclosure.
