Description

The 1783-US16T Stratix 2000 EtherNet Unmanaged Switch by Allen-Bradley is an electronic device which provides compact solutions for most industrial applications with a need for reliable network connectivity.
It requires a Dual Class 2 or SELV 16 to 60 Volts DC or 18 to 30 Volts AC at a 50 to 60 Hertz input voltage range, with a 24 Volt nominal input and a maximum input current of 555.5 mA with 4.72 A inrush current on start-up.

The 1783-US16T dissipates a 6.72 maximum heat when operational, and provides a 30 Volt DC voltage isolation between power-to-network channels, using basic insulation, tested at 500 Volts AC for 60 seconds.

It uses an IEC-rated RJ-45 Connector, with 16 Fast EtherNet ports (FE) for EtherNet connection, and it utilizes 14 AWG copper wire with a 1.82 N-m (8 inches per pound) Screw Torque for the ground connection. The 1783-US16T supports a maximum of 8K MAC addresses but it does not support SFP modules.

It comes in an open-style enclosure and is designated for the T4 North America and IEC temperature codes. The 1783-US16T has a wide operational temperature range between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius (-40 and 158 degrees Fahrenheit) at a 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity to accommodate a wide range of applications. It is stored at an IEC-rated temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit).

It is designed to withstand an operational shock of 15G and 30G in a non-operational mode, and it can withstand an operational vibration of 2G at 10 to 150 Hertz. It has a CISPR11, Class A-Rated Emission, and it has an IP20 environmental rating for protection against solid objects.

The 1783-US16T has dimensions of 88 x 135 x 146.30 millimeters (3.46 x 5.31 x 5.76 inches) and is c-UL-us, CE, KC, RCM, and Ex-certified.

To enable and disable the broadcast storm protection, this Allen-Bradley device has an SW1 DIP switch built into it.
For a second layer of protection, this unmanaged Ethernet switch comes with comes with a standby SW2 DIP Switch.
