Description
The Allen-Bradley 1769-IF4FXOF2F is a fast analog I/O module that is designed for industrial applications. It is a high resolution combination module with four fast analog inputs and two fast outputs. It has a voltage rating of 30 volts AC/DC and a rated current of 220 milliamperes at 5.1 volts and 120 milliamperes at 24 volts. The maximum heat dissipation of this device is 3.39 watts. The module can be used with solid cable sizes of 22 to 14 AWG and stranded cable sizes 22 to 16 AWG. It is packaged in an open-style enclosure and can be mounted using a DIN rail or panel mounting capability. The module has screw type electrical connections and has terminal and retaining screw torque specifications of 0.68 N-m (6 lb-in) and 0.46 N-m (4.1 lb-in), respectively.

The analog input channels accept an analog signal voltage range of ±10.5V -0.5…10.5V, -0.5…5.25V, 0.5…5.25V, 0…21 mA, and 3.2…21 mA. The input channels use successive approximations for digitally converting the received analog signal with conversion resolution of 14 bits in unipolar format and 14 bits with sign or bipolar format. The input channels have signal accuracy of ±0.2% full scale @ 25 °C (77 °F) for Current and ±0.15% full scale @ 25 °C (77 °F) for voltage signal while the accuracy drift regarding temperature is ±0.0045% per °C for Current and ±0.003% per °C for voltage.
The analog output channels of the module deliver an analog signal range of ±10.5V -0.5…10.5V, -0.5…5.25V, 0.5…5.25V, 0…21 mA, and 3.2…21 mA. The output channels provide 13 bits in unipolar format or 13 bits plus sign, bipolar format. The module’s conversion rate is 1 ms, and step response to 63% of 2.0 ms while the output accuracy is ±0.2% full scale @ 25 °C (77 °F). It has a selectable filter frequency of 5 Hz, 10 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 100 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz and 1000 Hz.
The 1769-IF4FXOF2F I/O module has a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to +185 °F) for storage and 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to +140 °F) for operation. It can be used in a non-condensing humidity range of 5% to 95%. The module can be used at a maximum height of 2000 meters or 6561 feet and can bear vibrations of up to 5 G at a frequency range of 10 to 500 hertz. This device can also withstand a shock of 30 G for 11 milliseconds in the panel mounted configuration and 20 G for 11 milliseconds in the DIN rail mounted configuration. It is equipped with a status indication LED. The module is designed in adherence to C-UL, UL 508, and CE certifications for all applicable directives.
