The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1734-IE2V module is an analog input module from Allen-Bradley’s point I/O series of analog input modules. It comes with a key switch that can be set in 3 different positions. The 1734-IE2V input module is has an enclosure that is Open-Type. This enclosure is not waterproof or rated for protecting the input module from large or heavy amounts of dust or pieces of debris.
The 1734-IE2V is an Allen-Bradley POINT IO module that features Two (2) Voltage capable channels that accepts -10 to +10VDC voltage with resolution of Signed 15-Bit.
This module may operate in unipolar and bipolar mode with the external signal converted into 16-Bit signed integer which is -32,768 to +32,767. This input module generates a total of Six (6) Bytes of Data which are Channel 0 Data, Channel 1 Data, Channel 0 Status, and Channel 1 Status.
The 1734-IE2V analog input module is used in a wide variety of applications. The analog signal that is receives may represent a certain process variable such a Flow, Level, Pressure, Temperature, Turbidity, Conductivity, Vibration, Viscosity and may other variables. This analog module has an integral analog to digital converter wherein the external analog signal is converted into digital values in the form of 16-Bit integer.
The 1734-IE2V is a low cost, low density and practical solution for remote I/O areas where small to medium I/Os are present. This POINT IO module is compatible with any POINT IO adapter, DIN rail mountable with a compact form.
This input module also features Latching alarms with configurable levels such as Low, Low Low, High and High High. Alarms may also be disabled, and the module’s input rate may also be adjusted to fit with the external characteristics of the process variable such as Slow, medium, fast, fluctuating and non-fluctuating or any combination of these characteristics.

A steady green indicator light means that the module is operating properly, a flashing green light means the module needs to be commissioned because the configuration process was incomplete, a flashing red light means that a recoverable fault has occurred, a steady red indicator light means that an irrecoverable fault has occurred, and alternating flashing red and green lights means that the 1734-IE2V analog input module is running a diagnostics test.
