Description
The Allen-Bradley 1794-IF4I is a 1794 Flex、Flex Ex、Flex XT I/O system module with isolated analog inputs. This module is compatible with various terminal base units in the 1794 series (1794-TB2, 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3T, 1794- TB3TS, and 1794-TBN) and has four differential-ended, isolated inputs, and comes with a power and status indicator. It has a sigma-delta input conversion type with an input conversion rate of 2.5 to 7.5 milliseconds for all channels, and a resolution of 16 bits unipolar and 15 bits bipolar. The 1794-IF4I has a Flexbus voltage of 5 volts DC and a Flexbus current rating of 50 milliamperes.
The 1794-IF4I has a power dissipation of 20 Watts and a 6.8 BTU/hour thermal dissipation.
The manufacturer specifies an input accuracy of 0.1% at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, which includes gain, repeatability, offset, and nonlinearity error terms.
1794-IF4I has varying input current terminal ranges of 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, and +/-20 mA, as well as varying input voltage terminal ranges of +/-10 Volts, 0 to 10 Volts, +/-5 Volts, and 0 to 5 Volts, all of which are user-configurable.
The 1794-IF4I has an external DC power supply current of 80 milliamperes at 24 volts DC and a voltage range of 19.2 to 31.2 volts DC, including a 5% AC ripple. 145 milliamperes of current at 5.1 volts and 125 at 24 volts. The isolation voltage rating of the 1794-IF4I depends on the terminal base unit installed.
Its continuous isolation voltage is 120 Volts when using the 1794-TBT3S, 1794-TB3T, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3, and the 1794-TB2 base units.
A 1794-TBN base unit’s continuous isolation voltage becomes 250 Volts.
It has an open-type enclosure, can be mounted using a DIN rail or a panel, and has adjustable channel input filters.
It has an operating temperature range of -20 degrees to 55 degrees Celsius, and a non-operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The module has an operating vibration of 5 G, a non-operating shock of 50 G, and an operating shock of 30 G. Each channel has a step response of 1200 Hz conversion rate = 0.6 ms and an update rate of 2.5 ms, 5.0 ms, and 7.5 ms.
