Description

The Allen-Bradley 1769-OB16 is a compact DC Sourcing Output Module with 16 outputs. It operates between 20.4V and 26.4V DC and can be used the CompactLogix or MicroLogix 1500 controllers. The module can be mounted on grounded panels using M4 or #8 screws or on EN 50 022 – 35 x 7.5 or EN 50 022 – 35 x 15 DIN rails. Provides two isolated groups with 8 points per group, has a surge current of 2A, and is intended for use in a clean, dry industrial environment.

The 1769-OB16 has a 1.0mA leakage current around a 26.4V DC and an on-state minimum current of 1.0mA. It has a 1.0V (max) drop voltage (on-state) at 1.0mA, and with a 1.0 Ampere at 30 deg. Celsius and a 0.5 Ampere at 60 deg. Celsius current per point (max). The module has an 8.0 A at 30 deg. Celsius and a 4.0 A at 60 deg. Celsius current per module (max), and a current of 2.0 A for 10ms repeatable every 2s (surge). It has IEC Class 2 reinforced insulation, which guards against voltage as high as 75V DC.

The module weighs approximately 280g and has dimensions of 4.65 x 1.38 x 3.43 inches. It is compatible with any 1769 CompactLogix controller and 1769 CompactLogix Power supplies such as 1769-PA2, 1769-PB2, 1769-PA4, and 1769-PB4. The module uses a terminal block with part number 1769-RTBN18. When wiring the module, it can be connected easily to either the controller or to an adjacent I/O module before or after mounting.

The 1769-OB16 can be use 24VDC voltage or to energize AC loads via interposing function. It is a single-slot module that can be directly installed to the 1769 CompactLogix assembly or MicroLogix 1500 controller. If installed with a CompactLogix controller, the power supply distance rating of 8 modules must be observed. If installed with a MicroLogix 1500 controller, the module is installed beside the MicroLogix base module and connects to the backplane via a provided ribbon cable.
