The 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B is a CompactLogix 5370 L2 programmable automation controller manufactured by Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the ControlLogix Processor Module series. This module works with the same CPU performance capabilities as the L3 controller, the only difference it has is a smaller form factor, and it is more cost-effective. This unit is a packaged sink/source controller, and it is suitable for small applications, including hoisting and cranes, packaging, and indexing tables.
The 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B controller can handle up to 100 programs per task and 32 controller tasks. It also features a 750 kilobytes user memory which can be expanded using a 1 or 2 gigabyte optional SD memory card shipped along with the controller. This controller comes with one USB port, 2 EtherNet/IP ports, which supports DLR and 256 EtherNet/IP; besides, it also features 120 TCP connections. Allen Bradley 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B programmable automation controller has 16 sourcing 24 volts DC digital output points, 16 sinking/sourcing 24 Volts DC digital input points, 4 universal analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, and 4 high-speed counters. This controller can accommodate expansions up to a maximum of 4 1769 modules. It comes with status LED indicators and an open-type enclosure rating.
The 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B controller has 24 Volts DC embedded power supply, a current draw of 0.8 amperes at 24 volts DC, and 1 ampere at 5 volts DC. It operates on a voltage range of 10 – 27 volts DC at 55 degrees Celsius, 10 – 28.8 volts DC at 40 degrees Celsius, and between 10 – 26.4 volts DC at 60 degrees Celsius. It has a maximum off-state voltage of 5 volts DC with a maximum off-state current of 1.5 milliamps.
The controller features 1 Megabyte of user memory that is expandable using the included Secure Digital (SD) card that has a memory capacity of 1 Gigabyte. For greater memory capacity requirements, a 2 Gigabyte SD card is also available for use with this module. The 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B features 1 USB port and 2 Ethernet/IP ports that support Device Level Ring (DLR) topology. Up to 256 connections are supported for use via Ethernet/IP in addition to 120 TCP connections. One Serial Communication port supporting ASCII, DH485, and DF1 protocols is also provided. The module includes 16 sourcing digital output points that have an output voltage of 24 Volts DC. 16 sink/source digital input points are also available, accepting 24 Volt DC inputs. 4 universal analog input and 2 analog outputs are also included. This module offers 4 high-speed counters as well. Up to four 1769 expansion modules are supported by the 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B. Programming languages specified by the IEC 61131-3 standard are supported.
